MTO has advised OTA there remains plans for full closure during the overnight periods (approx. 10pm to 10am) of the QEW – Niagara Bound at the Burlington Skyway for Friday, August 18; Friday August 25 and finally Friday, September, 9.

At the time of writing the 401 remains closed in both directions in Pickering.

OTA is currently monitoring the closure of Hwy 401 in Pickering. The duration of the closure has not been determined yet as the post-collision investigation is still underway.

Canada Border Services Agency sent a notice reminding carriers and brokers, freight forwarders that the Fort Erie/Peace Bridge port of entry is temporarily closed due to power outages due to adverse weather conditions and road closures.
