The Membership Committee (MDC) is a committee of the Board of Directors. Volunteers consist of the Board members at
large. In addition to its main responsibility of vetting new member applications and recommending their approval to the Board, the Committee acts as a sounding board for staff in developing retention and recruitment efforts and to promote the benefits of OTA to the industry at large. The committee also acts as a liaison between potential members and the association.

The OTA LEAD committee was formed in 2016 and is responsible for creating strategies to engage young professionals in the trucking industry, developing educational and outreach programs, networking opportunities, and other key initiatives falling under the LEAD umbrella. Committee members and co-chairs represent both carrier and supplier members and were selected based on their participation in OTA’s LEAD programs, employment with an OTA member in good standing, and approval through an OTA nominations process.
