Weekend Access to Hwy 40 in Montreal Restricted Due to Bridge Closure

The Quebec Trucking Association and the Government of Quebec have notified OTA that the Highway 40 bridge in Montreal (Pont de l’ile-aux-Tourtes) connecting Vaurdreuil-Dorion to the Island of Montreal will be closed for the weekend starting from Friday, December 15, 11  p.m. to Monday December 18, 5  a.m.

Additional details in the release indicate that Highway  40 will be completely closed between Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants and Avenue Saint-Charles, from Friday 11  p.m. to Monday 5  a.m. In the west direction, access to Senneville Road will be maintained for users traveling to the area.

The ramp leading from Highway  40 to the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will be closed in Vaudreuil-Dorion, in the interchange with Highway  30. Users are invited to use Highways  20 and  30.

Starting Monday,  December 18 at 5  a.m., one lane will be open in each direction.
