Starting July 1, 2018, Class D licence holders up to age 80 will be required to complete a Class D knowledge test and vision test every five years when renewing their driver’s licences.
AS OTA previously reported, Class D licence holders will also be required to complete a medical report:
- Once every five years for drivers under the age of 46
- Once every three years for drivers between the ages of 46 and 64, and
- Every year for drivers age 65 and older.
Class D licence holders who drive commercially in the US are still required to provide proof of medical certification.
