OTA has been notified that effective September 1, 2015, the Ministry of Transportation will be increasing the reporting threshold for property damage only collisions from $1000 to $2000. The details of this change are included in Ontario Regulation 596, section 11. OTA continues to explore with MTO a higher value for property damage only collisions as it relates specifically to trucking equipment and will keep the membership informed of progress on this issue.
