OTA Confirms No Premium Rate Increase for Trucking in 2016

Share

As an active stakeholder and partner to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) has confirmed that there will be no increases in premium rates for the trucking industry in 2016.

For the third year in a row, the WSIB has announced a 0% Premium Rate adjustment, meaning there will be no change over current rates.

Rate Framework Review

The WSIB is in full-swing consulting with stakeholders, including OTA, on a preliminary rate framework model. In essence, this is a proposed working model of how the WSIB could reform key aspects of their system such as employer classification and the rate setting process.
