Highway 8 Improvements (Fruitland Road to Fifty Road)

 Improving Highway 8 is one of the City’s top priorities in Stoney Creek. As a result, the city has initiated a study to examine the need for road improvements along Highway 8 between Fruitland Road and Fifty Road.

Highway 6 Pavement Rehabilitation from Lindsay Road 20, Miller Lake to Maple Golf Crescent, Tobermory, Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula, County of Bruce

 The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has retained Stantec Consulting Ltd. to complete the Detailed Design and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for pavement rehabilitation of Highway 6 from Lindsay Road 20, Miller Lake to Maple Golf Crescent, Tobermory, including the replacement of 20 centreline culverts, drainage improvements, installation of 3km of wildlife fencing, paved shoulder improvements to accommodate cycling, and the addition of left-turn lanes at the following intersections: Cyprus Lake Road, Dorcas Bay Road, Warner Bay/Little Cove Road and Maple Golf Crescent. It is anticipated that traffic staging will be accomplished by temporary lane reductions, single laning for structure work and night paving.

Preliminary Design for Replacement of Highway 401 Nudell Bush Road Underpass

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has retained McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd. and LEA Consulting Ltd. Joint Venture to carry out the Planning and Preliminary Design in accordance with the Class Environmental Assessment for the replacement of Highway 401 Nudell Bush Road Underpass in Williamsburg in the Municipality of South Dundas.

Public consultation will continue throughout the study, which will be regularly updated on the project website www.401bridgeimprovements.com
