The Eastern Border Transportation Coalition has released its second iteration of its report entitled “The Importance of Efficient Canada/U.S. Border Crossings and Recommendations for Action”.

The report highlights the significance of Canada-US trade with a specific focus on the relationship between the north eastern U.S. States of Michigan, New York, Vermont and Maine and the Canadian Provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. The report summarizes progress to date made by both governments under the Beyond the Border Action Plan and identifies recommendations for border improvements.  The Canadian Trucking Alliance had an opportunity to present to the EBTC at the September 2014 meeting where CTA priorities were raised.  Many of these priorities are included in the EBTC report.
