Weekend Access to Hwy 40 in Montreal Restricted Due to Bridge Closure

The Quebec Trucking Association and the Government of Quebec have notified OTA that the Highway 40 bridge in Montreal (Pont de l’ile-aux-Tourtes) connecting Vaurdreuil-Dorion to the Island of Montreal will be closed for the weekend starting tonight at midnight until Monday 5:00 AM.

According to the release, three lanes will be open on the bridge, including two in the direction of vehicles during rush hours, as of Monday, November 27. Heavy vehicles will be able to continue to travel on the bridge but must respect the posted loads. The weekend closure is for ongoing construction efforts.
