Canada’s largest truck show is back once again. Toronto International Centre will be the home of Truck World 2016 between April 14-16.
The show, owned by Newcom Business Media and strongly supported by the Ontario Trucking Association, is where carriers and industry suppliers meet and where the latest trucking technology and equipment is displayed.
The event traditionally attracts 20,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors – and this year it’s more diverse than ever. This year’s Truck World will feature Desi Trucking magazine as an official South Asian media partner.
“Growing ethnic communities are an important part of the trucking industry and it’s time to make a better effort at bringing the whole industry together under one roof,” said Joe Glionna, vice-president of Newcom Business Media, which hosts Truck World.
This year’s show will also focus on maintenance issues. As Newcom’s trade publication reports:
Maintenance issues will take centre stage on April 13, a day before the show opens, at the Canadian Fleet Maintenance Summit. The new summit will bring together industry stakeholders, service professionals, manufacturers, researchers and enforcement officials under one roof to discuss the industry’s most pressing issues and point the way forward. Murray Mullen, chairman and CEO of Mullen Group, is the keynote speaker at the 2016 Kickoff Breakfast, while a series of timely panel discussions are sure to attract fleet owners, drivers and owner-operators alike.
And OTA, along with Wear Plaid For Dad organizers, will have a special news conference/announcement on April 14 just outside of Hall 5.
