Transport Canada Survey – Transportation of Dangerous Goods in Ontario

Share

Transport Canada is conducting additional research on the transportation of dangerous goods in Ontario by truck and are encouraging carriers to participate.

The objective of this research is to collect, analyze, and map data on the movement of dangerous goods being imported or exported via Canadian marine ports in, out and through the Province of Ontario.

An analysis of truck shipments from marine ports that travel on Ontario roads will assist in providing additional details of dangerous goods transportation in the region, including dominant classes, import/export information, and locations of major industrial parks in urban areas.

Participation in the collection of this information will allow Transport Canada to continue its fact-based policy development with respect to the transportation of Dangerous Goods in cooperation with industry.
