Transport Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra, on behalf of Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN), today announced two new calls for proposals and availability of funding for trucking fleets through the new Green Freight Program and the Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Awareness Initiative, with the aim of encouraging fleets to increase uptake in emissions reductions technologies while further reducing costs and their carbon footprint.
TIRF & NRCAN Team up to Research the Effect of Fuel-efficient Driving on Collision Risk

The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF), an independent road safety research institute, received funding from Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) to conduct a national study on the effect of fuel-efficient driving on crash risk and crash severity in Canada and is soliciting participation from fleets operating class 8 vehicles across Canada.
