NRCan Conducting Study on Green Freight Program

Share

Survey to be Completed by November 21, 2025

Natural Resources Canada is conducting an important study to assess (i) the extent to which fuel-saving retrofits have been adopted by Canadian medium- and heavy-duty on-road fleets and (ii) the extent that the Green Freight Program (GFP) has supported those investments. This study will help inform ongoing evaluation and improvement of federal programming relevant to the on-road freight transportation sector.

We are asking for your assistance by completing a questionnaire that asks about investments your fleet has made in fuel-saving technologies and the extent that GFP funding supported those investments. The questionnaire can be found at:

Any information you provide will be held in strict confidence. Information will only be used to better understand the aggregate uptake of fuel-saving retrofits and the role of the GFP in supporting those investments. Company-level information will not be reported to Natural Resources Canada, nor will it be used for marketing or other purposes.

A completed questionnaire can be submitted to Natural Resource Canada’s contractor (John Cameron of Cheminfo Services Inc. at jcameron@cheminfoservices.com) by November 21, 2025.

You can address any questions you have to Colin Dobson at Natural Resources Canada (colin.dobson@NRCan-RNCan.gc.ca).
