The Government of Canada made a change last week to the carbon pricing system by providing a three-year carbon tax exemption for home heating oil on a regional basis and providing higher carbon tax rebates for people in rural areas.

The province of Ontario today announced a measure to extend tax relief on diesel fuel until June 2024 (check against delivery). At a time when all households and businesses are struggling with inflationary impacts, this announcement was very much welcomed by the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA).
