The British Columbia Trucking Association is asking truck drivers from across Canada who travel to B.C. about their experiences with the province’s rest area system.
In partnership with the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, a survey has been released. The information gathered from commercial drivers to help make improvements to the existing rest area program.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and responses are confidential, but participants should read the consent statement beforehand. Truck drivers operating into BC from other jurisdictions are encouraged to take part.

The deadline for responses is Friday, January 29, 2016.
The survey is part of MoTI’s commitment to work with industry to identify priority locations for new and expanded parking, staging, inspection pullouts and chain-up/off areas for trucks on key corridors throughout the province – one priority in the provincial trucking strategy outlined in the ministry’s BC on the Move transportation plan released in 2015.
