Obituary Gordon Box
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Box. After a courageous four-year battle with cancer, Gord died peacefully, at home, in the early hours on August 13, 2021. He is survived by his cherished wife, Anne Miner and his three children. He was the beloved father of Katie (Sean), Mathew (Melissa) and Maggie (Jon) and much-loved Grandfather of Jordan, Luke and Camden. He will be greatly missed by his sister Lynn (Dale Wright), and brothers Doug (Robin Watson) and Greg (Wendy Box), his sisters-in-law Josephine Miner and Katherine (Bill Gelinas). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Born and raised in London, Ontario, Gord lived a full and productive life. Throughout his seventy years, Gord was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and successful businessman. He was passionate about stock car racing, The Toronto Maple Leafs and Tim Hortons coffee. Gord enjoyed winters in Florida and summers in Grand Bend. He will be missed beyond measure. The family would like to thank Doctor Brian Higgins and his Primary Care Nurse, Audrey O’Hare, at the Credit Valley Oncology Department for their care and dedication.
