The Quebec Ministry of Transportation announced the 2021 thaw period will start on March 22 for zones 1 and 2 in Québec.

During this period, authorized load limits are reduced because the load-bearing capacity of the road network is reduced. Load limits are reduced by 8% to 20% according to the vehicle’s axle type and configuration.
