The City of Ottawa has unveiled a Goods Movement Backgrounder study report.
The study describes current goods movement issues, conditions and trends, and reports on best practices for addressing these issues in the context of promoting sustainable transportation. The report does not propose specific positions or recommendations for the City regarding goods movement policies or actions. However, the report will inform future City planning and policy initiatives. The report can also serve as a basis for future collaborative efforts between public sector and private sector stakeholders, to determine potential opportunities for working together to implement goods movement improvements.
The study, completed by David Kriger Consulting, was informed by a comprehensive consultation with goods movement stakeholders.
