Now in its second full year of operation, OTA’s popular Next Generation educational development program has sparked significant demand from graduates wanting even more specific trucking industry leadership training.

As a result, OTA is pleased to announce a joint certificate program with the Schulich Executive Education (SEEC) Centre that will build on the skills acquired in the current Next Generation Program.  The OTA-SECC program is based on two modules: “The Business Race Program” and “Critical Thinking for Leaders”.

next genBoth of these impactful, one-day programs will help participants build upon their business leadership skills by providing them with practical tools aimed at improving performance and driving business results.

The Business Race Program will be led by Jeff MacInnis, a motivational leader who was once part of Canada’s National Ski team during the era of the Crazy Canucks. His current client list includes more than half of the Fortune 500. This module is scheduled for July 30 and will be capped by a networking evening at a Toronto Blue Jays game.

Critical Thinking for leaders is being run by Dr. Brett Richards – considered the leading global trainer in Effective Intelligence, a system designed to improve individual and team thinking skills and system wide collaboration. This session will be held in conjunction with OTA’s Executive Conference on Nov. 4.

Also at this year’s Executive Conference, OTA and SEEC will host a full day workshop entitled “Leaders Building Leaders.” This program enables senior leaders to impart their knowledge and skill sets to up-and-coming future leaders. Further details about registering for this event will be released in May.
