OTA Heavy Specialized Division Members Meet With Hydro One and MTO

Posted Friday April 24, 2015, in Operations/safety

OTA hosted a meeting last week for interested carriers involved in over-dimensional moves.

Senior staff from Hydro One briefed carriers on the changes they have made and are planning to make to their permitting processes as well as providing a detailed breakdown of how their internal costing processes work for over-height. In addition to this information, a number of action items and deliverables were identified and will be followed up on and communicated with the division directly.

In the afternoon, MTO was present to brief carriers on a number of updates they have made and to touch base with carriers before the busy summer season is in full swing.  Again, action items arising from the meeting will be reported on to the division.
