OTA Emphasises Goods Movement at GTHA Congestion Roundtable

OTA recently participated in the Deputy Mayor’s Gridlock and Traffic Congestion Roundtable, which recently produced a report on the issue.

The roundtable is an attempt to examine on the growing at a rate of gridlock in the GTAHA that is slowly outpacing capacity to move goods and people efficiently.

Through the Roundtable on Gridlock and Traffic Congestion, the City is reaching out to local businesses, residents and industry leaders to provide input on how Toronto can improve the current level of connectivity and transportation.

OTA’s role at the roundtable was to emphasize the costs congestion places on commercial transportation and remind city officials to focus efforts on goods movement efficiency and not just transit.
