The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is replacing the Henry Street Bridge over Hwy 401. The demolition of the existing bridge will require an eight-hour closure of Hwy 401 from Midnight to 8:00 am on Sunday June 18, 2017.

The project also includes reconstructing Henry Street to accommodate the new bridge and removal of a small portion of the existing noise barrier at Henry Street to accommodate a slight realignment of Henry Street to the west.
The new bridge will be wider and longer than the existing bridge, and will accommodate future widening of Highway 401. Construction activities have commenced and are anticipated to be completed by the end of 2017.
In the event of inclement weather, the demolition and full closure will take place the following weekend on June 25, 2017.
