The Quebec Ministry of Transportation reports that projected dates for the 2016 thaw period in Québec are now published in the “thaw zones and periods” page of the Ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l’Électrification des transports.
You can reach this page by selecting tabs: “Usagers – Véhiucles lourds – Dégel restrictions de charges – Période de dégel” or by clicking the following link (due to the current redesign of the Ministère’s web site, it’s only available in French).
Please note that projected dates represent most likely dates for the beginning and ending of each of the three zones. Depending on changing weather conditions, the beginning and ending of the thaw period can be forestalled or delayed.
