MTO has released its new, Towards a Greater Golden Horseshoe Transportation Plan: Discussion Paper which outlines the Ministry’s vision for transportation in the province through 2051.
The discussion paper sets out a proposed infrastructure, service and policy vision of an interconnected transportation system that provides a safe, seamless and accessible transportation experience.
MTO has asked for feedback on the proposed 2051 vision and near-term actions set out in the discussion paper, to inform the development of a long-term transportation plan for the GGH region. The proposed plan would be an integrated transportation infrastructure, service and policy plan, to guide and align decisions and investments, focusing on the transportation system at a regional scale and solutions that will have a region-wide impact.
If you have comments on this plan, you can submit them directly through the Environmental Registry of Ontario at https://ero.ontario.ca/notice/019-3839 by August 28, 2021. Or email OTA’s Jonathan.blackham@ontruck.org
