In a notice shared with OTA this week, MTO’s Highway Operations Permits Office is highlighting that as part of their modernization efforts to improve security and efficiency, that effective January 1, 2026, the Ministry will no longer accept fax submissions for oversize/overweight permit applications or payment information.
To assist with the transition the Ministry has been notifying existing permit clients and will continue with a host of virtual training sessions.
