The Ontario Ministry of Transportation is inviting carriers to be part of the International Roadcheck, campaign as observers.
The safety campaign, which takes place on June 6-8, 2017, is a three-day period when certified local, state, provincial, territorial and federal inspectors in jurisdictions across North America conduct inspections on large trucks and buses.
Each year, International Roadcheck places special emphasis on a category of violations. The special emphasis for 2017 is cargo securement. While cargo securement is always a part of roadside inspections, CVSA is highlighting cargo safety this year as a reminder of its importance.
The ministry is asking anyone interested in taking part to review the attached document below for available locations and instructions on submitting your forms before Thursday, May 25th at 4:00PM.
Every effort will be made to accommodate requests, however late submissions will affect MTO’s ability to schedule preferred visit. If you need additional information, contact Bob Lickers, International Roadcheck 2017 Co-ordinator by phone at 905-704-2885 or email Bob.Lickers@ontario.ca.
