OTA is requesting all carrier members forward the following bulletin to staff and drivers, especially carriers whose trucks travel to Illinois.
Doug Harkness, a 72-year old driver for S & C Clark Transport – and the father of Tim Harkness, Director of Maintenance for the Cavalier Group of Companies – has gone missing while on the job south of the border. He was last heard from on Wednesday evening in the Chicago area as he was set to head back home to Ontario. His last known location was around 395 Glen Ellyn Road/ East Army Trail.
Doug is described as professional, reliable and an experienced truck driver. It is very uncharacteristic for him to not be in contact with his dispatch or his family. Friends and family consider this a very serious situation.
