Hamilton Extending Deadline for Comments for Truck Route Master Plan to July 30

The City of Hamilton is requesting feedback from companies on the draft truck route map for the city and has extended the deadline to submit comments to July 30, 2021.

The Citywide and sub-area truck route network maps are available on the project webpage at www.engage.hamilton.ca/TRMP. A recording of the Public Information Centre #2 presentation is also available on the project webpage, along with other helpful resources on the truck route study.

As reported by OTA earlier this summer, the draft map recommends significant changes to the current route network such as the use of daytime only restrictions on multiple portions of the proposed truck route (7:00am – 7:00pm).

It is expected that City staff’s final recommendations will go to the Truck Route Subcommittee of Council at some point in September, and then to Hamilton Council for final review and approval before the end of the year.

Feedback on the draft map can be submitted through the project webpage or sent to the City of Hamilton at transportation@hamilton.ca.
