MTO is advising of a full closure of Highway 400 northbound and southbound at Highway 9 from 11:00 p.m. on Saturday March 11th to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday March 12th, 2017.
The closure, which is required for the demolition of Highway 9 bridge and is weather permitting, will result in the following:
Beginning with 1 lane closed at 8:00 p.m., expanding to 2 lanes closed at 9:00 p.m.; Highway 9 will be closed in both directions from Jane Street to Weston Road from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday March 11th to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday March 12th.
Highway 400 Northbound: Motorists heading northbound will be directed off and on the highway by the northbound off and on ramps at Highway 9; Access to Highway 9 eastbound via Highway 400 northbound will remain open; Motorists travelling to Highway 9 westbound will be detoured off Highway 400 to Lloydtown Aurora Road to Weston Road.
Highway 400 Southbound: Motorists heading southbound will be directed off and on the Highway by the southbound off and on ramps at Highway 9; Access to Highway 9 westbound via Highway 400 southbound will remain open; Detour route to access Highway 9 eastbound is available via Highway 400 to Lloydtown Aurora Road; motorists then have the option to travel North on Highway 400 or Jane Street.
There will be delays and motorists are advised to plan alternate routes for the duration of the closure.
