The Honourable Brian Mulroney is no stranger to Canadian-American relations, having presided over the creation of the landmark North American Trade Agreement. Now, as the world’s two largest trading partners embark on a mission under a cloud of uncertainty to renegotiate NAFTA, Mulroney will lay out his unique insights at the OTA annual executive conference in November.
A key part of Canada’s negotiation efforts, the former prime minister will cut through all the rhetoric in the media and break down what these critical trade discussions mean for your business interests going forward.
Mulroney headlines an overall stellar lineup of business, motivational and entertainment speakers. They include:
- Gabe Zichermann: One of the world’s foremost experts on the subject of workplace gamification, user engagement and behavioral design, Gabe works with leading brands to drive customer and employee engagement in new, creative ways.
- Dr. Mary Donohue: Social scientist and communication expert Dr. Mary E. Donohue will put on display her extraordinary knack for understanding different generations. A cancer survivor, Dr. Donohue is a passionate advocate of revolutionizing today’s workforce training through technology and developing internal talent.
- Ron Tite: Named one of the “Top 10 Creative Canadians” by Marketing Magazine, Tite is an award-winning advertising writer and creative director for some of the world’s most respected brands. His discussions cover branding, corporate strategy, creativity, content, and social media.
This year, OTA is also adding two new features:
Performance Coaching Leadership Training – a two-day leadership training workshop that will run concurrently during OTA’s Board and Executive Conference. The program will be run by Performance Coaching, which educated and entertained OTA at last year’s event with sessions by Peggy Baumgartner and Dr. Peter Jensen.
Spousal Program 2.0. – Lead by Kellie Ondejko, OTA will build upon the historic spousal program with featured speaker, Dr. Marla Shapiro. More details will be announced in June.
As always, the conference concludes with the ever-popular industry awards gala dinner, followed by a special entertainer. This year, the very funny Jonny Harris of CBC’s The Debaters will have truckers in tears.
“OTA’s Executive Conference is an excellent opportunity for the leaders and shapers of the trucking industry to come together and hear from some of the business world’s most interesting and inspiring speakers,” said OTA Chair Steve Ondejko.
Registration for the executive conference and Performance Coaching Sessions will open in June.
