The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced in a memo to stakeholders that due to the extended systems outage, the CBSA has implemented a grace period in relation to electronic transmission of commercial data between September 27 and October 14, 2025, and will not be issuing Administrative Monetary Penalties (AMPS) for contraventions associated with the electronic transmission of data using the affected systems during this period.
As announced earlier this week, the CBSA will be investigating the recent string of system outages, with a report being filed to the Minster of Public Safety within 30 days. CTA will keep members up to date on further developments.
