The Ambassador Bridge has published the new escort process which will be required to transport Class 3 and 8 dangerous goods across the bridge, which will begin allowing these shipments on October 29th, 2024.
This change comes after the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), recently announced the removal of these restrictions after consultations with industry stakeholders, including the OTA, and technical studies being completed by the department to help resolve this long-standing issue.
