OPP Seeks Trucking Industry’s Help With Investigation

The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit along with the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) has asked the OTA to distribute information of an ongoing homicide investigation.

OPP is asking anyone who may have any information concerning Frederick John Hatch to contact police.

hatchHis last reported sighting was on December 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the area of West Hunt Club Road and Merivale Road, Nepean.

Hatch was known to hitchhike and it is believed he left the area of eastern Ontario on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. His body was discovered on December 17, 2015 east of the 10th Line off Wellington Road 124, Town of Erin, shortly before 7:00 a.m.

He is described as a white male, 65-years of age, approximately 167 cm (5’6”) tall, heavier build, grey downward curving moustache and grey shoulder length hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark hoodie with a jean vest. The vest has Disney characters pictured on the back. He also carried a red and black duffle bag.

You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
