Hours of Service: Cross Border and Advanced Canadian Rules
Master US Hours-of-Service and Canadian rules for seamless cross-border operations.
About This Course
This course builds on the Hours-of-Service – Canadian Requirements to introduce more advanced concepts and the US Hours-of-Service rules. Every driver of every commercial vehicle in Canada and the U.S. must comply with rules that restrict when and how long a driver can continue to drive a commercial vehicle.
Single and team drivers using a sleeper berth have additional rules to contend with. Operating in the U.S. means complying with the U.S. rules, and crossing the border involves switching from one set of rules to the other.
This course is ideal for drivers who have already completed the Hours-of-Service – Canadian Requirements course. This course builds on topics covered in the Canadian Requirements course, and participants may find some elements challenging without the context of the prior course.
Key Takeaways
- Understand US Hours-of-Service requirements
- Learn US Electronic Logging Device (ELD) regulations
- Ensure cross-border compliance with both rule sets
Who’s This Suitable For?
