Trucking HR Canada celebrated the country’s top employers in trucking and logistics at the annual Top Fleet Employers (TFE) awards gala in Toronto. A total of 108 fleets earned TFE recognition, along with four Top Fleet awards and nine Achievements of Excellence.
The annual TFE Awards Gala brings together the country’s top fleets, many of which are CTA members, to recognize the highest industry standards in the workplace, says Angela Splinter, CEO, Trucking HR Canada.
This is the 12th year for the program honouring the best places to work in trucking and logistics in Canada and recognizing excellence in Human Resource practices in the sector.
THRC recognizes four fleets each year as best in their class. This year’s Top Fleet award winners are:
- Top Small: Classic Freight Transport (NS)
- Top Medium: Whitecourt Transport Inc. (AB)
- Top Large: Challenger Motor Freight (ON)
- Top Private/Fleet Services: Parkland Corporation (AB)
Nine firms received Achievement of Excellence Awards highlighting leadership in specific HR categories:
- Community Engagement: JD Smith Supply Chain Solutions (ON)
- Employee Engagement: Polaris Transportation Group (ON)
- HR Innovator: Joseph Haulage Canada Corp. (ON)
- HR Leadership: XTL Transport Inc. (ON)
- Training & Skills Development: Bison Transport (MB)
- Women in the Workplace: RST and Sunbury Transport (NB)
- Workplace Culture: Big Freight Systems Inc. (MB)
- Workplace Diversity & Inclusion: Bison Transport (MB)
- Workplace Wellness & Mental Health: Arrow Transportation Systems Inc.(BC)
