It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pierre Francois Carrier – a long serving member of the Kriska Group team (CFO/Board advisor.). He passed away on February 22 at the Ottawa General Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kriska team. Pierre was involved for over 20 years in providing key input on multiple industry/Board matters. Pierre’s service to the industry and the Ontario Trucking Association was unwavering and invaluable. He will be missed as a person and industry leader.
Born March 23, 1963 in Edmundston, son of the late Rino Carrier and the late Gaëtane Carrier, he leaves to mourn his partner Micheline Lavoie, his daughters Séverine Deschamps (Luc Deschamps) and Jasmine Carrier (Joshua Hoskins), his granddaughter Sofia Deschamps, his brother André Carrier (Louise D’Amours) as well as his mother-in-law Patricia Milliard, his many relatives and great friends.
Pierre was a person of rare generosity, always ready to extend a hand to those in need. His attention and kindness towards others were evident in each of his actions, whether it was his family, his friends or his colleagues. Driven by unwavering determination, he pursued his goals with quiet strength, never backing down from adversity. His ability to combine tenacity and compassion made him an exceptional person, capable of overcoming challenges while remaining attentive to the needs of those around him. Pierre leaves a huge void in our hearts, but his legacy of kindness, courage and dedication will continue to inspire all those who were lucky enough to know him.
After his long battle of 11 and a half years, he can finally rest in peace, free from his suffering, surrounded by the love and respect that he always inspired.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. at Paroisse Saint-Rémi, 2821 avenue Dumaurier, Ottawa. A reception will follow.
