The Quebec Trucking Association reported to OTA that the SAAQ in Quebec is shutting down today until Feb 19 to implement a new computer system for registration, driver licensing and other service.
The deployment of the new SAAQ portals will take place on February 20. The transition period will run from January 26, 5 p.m., to February 19 inclusively, and only certain services deemed essential will be accessible.
Service points will remain open and staff members will continue to provide these services and answer customer questions. The resumption of activities will then take place gradually.
