New York State Officials Aware of Potential Postal Delays for HUT Stickers

Share

Some Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) members have expressed concerns about delays in receiving their new New York (NY) Highway Use Tax (HUT) stickers for trucks that travel into NY state due the Canada Post strike.

OTA staff have been working with NY Department of Transportation (NYDOT) and NY State Police (NYSP) to make them aware of this issue, with officials confirming to OTA that NYSP are aware of potential delays in receiving new HUT stickers. They say carriers that have applied online should have proof of purchase/renewal documentation on hand to provide to NYSP officials at roadside if requested.

Carriers that have any issues pertaining to HUT sticker compliance while travelling in the state of NY can reach out to operations_safety@ontruck.org for more information.
