MTO Seeking OTA Members to Pilot New Online CVOR and MVIS Features

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has implemented an online public service that allows carriers access to their business information and a variety of transactions they conduct with MTO in one place.

The new online channel is aimed at improving service delivery and client satisfaction. MTO is accepting volunteers to pilot the new services and provide feedback before the service is launched to all CVOR and MVIS clients.

Details of what the new online options offer are below.

What does this service allow you to do Online?

The following are some of the transactions you will be able to complete online:

  • Commercial Vehicle Operator Registration (CVOR)
    • Renew an expired CVOR certificate
    • Re-enter the CVOR program
    • Update client information
    • Terminate a CVOR certificate
    • Initiate a dispute regarding a safety rating or event
    • Upload written submissions in relation to a sanction
    • Request a voluntary facility audit
    • Order carrier abstracts
  • Motor Vehicle Inspection Station (MVIS)
    • Renew an expired MVIS licence
    • Apply for a new MVIS licence
    • Update client information
    • Terminate a station licence
    • Add or delete station technicians
    • Order stock
