The Canadian Trucking Alliance published a report in 2011 that examined the scope of the cargo crime problem in Canada. The report, “Study of Cargo Crime in Canada,” was well received by trucking industry, law enforcement and insurance stakeholders.
This June, the Ontario Trucking Association will revisit the report’s recommendations with a focus on Ontario. The highway 401 corridor from Windsor to Montreal is identified as having the greatest activity related to cargo theft and related crimes. OTA’s updated report will identify specific trends of cargo crime in Ontario, including prevention strategies, law enforcement perspective and cutting edge technology to aid in the fight against cargo crime.
Please join OTA for a one day event in Mississauga, Ont. on June 11 where OTA will unveil its “Update on Cargo Crime in Ontario” report. A panel discussion session will follow.
