OTA has been informed by members who have been dealing with service disruptions in receiving IRP plates since IRP transferred from MTO to Service Ontario on March 1..
MTO informs us there was an IT related printer issue that impacted permit issuance last week but that has since been resolved. There is a backlog of applications that have been addressed and all outstanding appointments have been rescheduled.
We are advised that all Service Ontario IRP locations are operating normally as of Monday this week.
Service Ontario has advised If any customer has urgent needs, they are encouraged to contact IRPProcessing@ontario.ca and their request will be expedited. Members who reach out to IRP at that email, can also CC publicaffairs@ontruck.org.
