Huron Church Road southbound from the ETR Tracks, just north of College Avenue near the Ambassador Bridge, to Tecumseh Road will be closed this coming weekend for track repairs and road work.
Lane restrictions will begin at 9pm Thursday, September 25, 2014, with full closure in the area slated from 9pm Friday (26) through Sunday (28) afternoon. Detour signage will be in place for traffic coming off 
the Ambassador Bridge or from Riverside Drive, rerouting drivers off of Huron Church on to Wyandotte Street. Area drivers should expect an increase in truck and commuter traffic during the closure.
Pedestrian access to Huron Church under the Ambassador Bridge will also be blocked.
The road work will switch to the northbound lanes between Tecumseh Road and the ETR Tracks (just north of College Avenue) the following weekend, October 3, 2014 to October 5, 2014. A follow-up release will be sent prior to the second weekend’s closure.
