Share

Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training Regulation (O. Reg. 297/13) under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) is a new regulation which requires employers to ensure both workers and supervisors complete basic occupational health and safety training. Employers are to have this training completed by July 1, 2014.

If you are a provincially regulated carrier, this means the deadline to complete this training is a little over a month away. Please note, this new training requirement does not apply to federally regulated carriers, only those who are provincially regulated (Ontario).
