CTA participated in an industry led coalition on the issue of residue reporting requirements by USCBP. The coalition was provided an update last week:
USCBP recently advised they continue re-drafting the Federal Register Notice to implement a test pilot, and have not specified when it will be ready. The test will start in rail mode only with one volunteer rail carrier on the northern border and one volunteer rail carrier on the southern border. The US FDA have yet to waive their requirements under the test, which CBP acknowledge is needed to move forward with the pilot.
CTA will continue to monitor this issue and provide updates accordingly.
