Applications Open for 7th annual Top Fleet Employers Program

Do you have what it takes to be one of the top workplaces in Canada’s trucking and logistics industry? Applications are now open for Trucking HR Canada’s 7th annual Top Fleet Employers program, which recognizes fleets who demonstrate a commitment to going above and beyond in their human resources practices.

Applications will be accepted at until close of business on January 17, 2019.

The Top Fleet Employers program is open to any Canadian fleet, and recognizes employers that meet Trucking HR Canada’s standards of excellence in human resources for the trucking industry. Fleet employers apply and participate in a rigorous three-part review of their human resources policies and programs. The review assesses an employer’s formal HR policies and programs in eight key categories: recruitment & retention, employee engagement & workplace culture, compensation & total rewards, workplace wellness & mental health, workplace diversity & inclusion, training & skills development, corporate citizenship & environment, and HR innovation.

New this year is an updated application portal which allows fleets to collaborate with team members to complete the application, and has many new features to make applying easier.  In addition to the online application and document submission, the process also involves employee surveys and follow-up interviews where required. Selection criteria reflect human resources issues, trends and working environments seen in the Canadian trucking industry, and have been validated by a panel of industry experts and a Certified Human Resources Professional.
