They’ve put Plaid for Dad on their new van, and a father and son team from Ontario has left Edmonton on a bucket list cross-country drive back home to promote Prostate Cancer Canada’s #PlaidforDad campaign.

James Steed of Steed Standard Transport and his father – a prostate cancer survivor – this week are driving a plaid-clad van from Edmonton to Drumheller, Medicine Hat, Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Regina and Winnipeg on their way back home to Stratford, Ont.

“Plaid for Dad” day is June 16, the Friday before Father’s Day.

With 1 in 8 Canadian men having to deal with prostate cancer in their lifetimes (4000 Canadian deaths per year), research to stop it is vital. That’s why the annual Plaid for Dad national workplace challenge was founded in 2015 by Prostate Cancer Canada

The father and son team are making pit stops along the way to promote Plaid For Dad.
