Carriers Invited to Provide feedback on Gordie Howe Bridge Project

OTA staff had the opportunity to participate in a roundtable discussion with the Minister of Infrastructure and other business leaders regarding the Gordie Howe Bridge project a few weeks ago. With construction underway, key aspects of the design and operational components can be finalized, including the detailed aspects of how trucks and drivers will interact with the facility.

The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) has taken a very collaborative approach on the project and would like to work with OTA and its members on critical elements of the project, including plaza design, electronic tolling processes and interoperability of technologies, among other items.

OTA would like to invite interested members to take part in a working group with WDBA on these issues, as we continue to move forward with the completion of the project in 2024. If you are interested in taking part in the working group, please confirm your participation by emailing lak.shoan@ontruck.org

More information regarding the scope of the working group and timelines will be disseminated in the coming weeks.
