Ontario Trucking Association (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates https://www.ontruck.org. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.

At your request, we will provide you with details of all of your Personal Information in our possession, what it is being used for, and to whom it has been disclosed. In some limited cases, we may be unable to access or provide some specific information. We will provide you with a reasonable rationale for any inability to release information.

You may send us a written request requiring that your Personal Information be deleted from our databases, or you may request that your Personal Information be updated or corrected to rectify any inaccuracies.

Ultimately, if you are dissatisfied with this Privacy Policy or our services in general, you may discontinue use thereof at any time and request that we delete your Personal Information from our systems.

Electronic Payment

All electronic payments are handled through PayPal and Authorize.net payment gateways. All information submitted to the card processor are confidential and OTA does not store any paper confidential information in its location or electronically in its system. The Ontario Trucking Association is a certified merchant under the ControlScan program.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Retention and Safeguarding Your Personal Information

We will retain your Personal Information for as long as it is required to fulfill our obligations to you as our customer. As even the most sophisticated systems can be vulnerable, our policy is to delete information on our system that would benefit anyone other than you and us. As such, no credit card information is stored in any of our databases, thereby eliminating the possibility of improper or unauthorized access to your credit card information from our databases.
