Developed to assist organizations capture significant cost savings for the prescription drug component of the employee benefit plan.

The key to controlling benefit plan costs is to engage plan members in understanding how their drug purchasing decisions affect the plan’s overall cost. Plan members who choose not to participate in cost control measures will be directly impacted through higher out-of-pocket expenses.

Generic Drugs cost significantly less than their brand-name counterparts. By introducing a tiered formulary (list of drugs) that encourages employees to choose generics and lower cost therapeutic alternatives, plans can realize significant savings. Adding a central dispensing pharmacy means the benefit plan and plan members can save through reduced ingredient costs and low dispensing fees ($5); both are a product of aggregate purchasing power and reduced overhead.

Developed for employers who see the value in providing a benefit plan, but ultimately deem such plans as unaffordable, Evolve was created for small businesses with built-in cost containment features.

Similar to a traditional group plan, Evolve returns the control of the cost of health and dental to the employer by segregating these expenses into a Health Spending Account (HSA), while providing pooled benefits such as:

  • Life & Dependent Life
  • Accident & Serious Illness (ASI)
  • Short Term Disability (STD) & Long Term Disability (LTD)
  • Out of Country Coverage

The Evolve concept offers the employer advantages:

  • Control over the amount of expenditure
  • Less benefit overuse
  • Greater price stability
  • HSA portion of plan is excluded from typical renewal process

..and employee advantages:

  • Not subject to coinsurance or deductibles
  • Non-catastrophic expenses up to the allocated HSA limit
  • Become consumers and shop health services they need
