A Final Rule mandating the use of electronic logging devices on all commercial trucks in the U.S. expected to be published Sept. 30, 2015.
As reported by CCJ magazine, a recent Department of Transportation regulatory update report states enforcement of the mandate would begin Sept. 30, 2017.
The same report also says a projected rule to mandate the use of speed limiters will be sent from the DOT to the White Houses’ Office of Management and Budget next month, which put it in line for a March 16, 2015 publication date.
CCJ points out, however, that several action dates so far have been pushed back this year already.
